I am actually enjoying this game and I find it better than DS1. Sure it is hack and slash but it fills the time and the graphics are beautiful. My question has to do with what hotkey, or any other key for that matter, where it allows you to select ONE character while leaving others behind. I've read it is the "O" (oh) key but that doesn't seem to work. The other characters keep following me around. Any ideas? I'm trying to get through the Angellan Trial -- the one with valves and doors tohave the water flow in order to raise the bridge parts to move on. Thanks.

Yeah, I liked DS2 more than the first one, but I never got around to finishing it, there was always something more insteresting coming out and eventually I uninstalled it to get space.

If I remember right the botton for solo mode is in the bottom right corner.

I think I liked the first one better, especially with LoA. Don't know; DSII just hasn't really grabbed me.

Anyway, the command you want is called Wait. It doesn't have a default key assignment, so you have to give it one (Options -> Input -> Hotkeys)

I made it Q, because I use it all the time -- NPCs getting it the way like it's their job

You may need the 2.2 patch for this; I don't remember (it's only 12 MB and fixes a couple other annoying things, too).

I have the 2.2 patch so I am a go there. It just is a major pain when I need them to stay where they are and regulate some of the panels while my character goes through the various doors to open the water way.

aleph_null1, When I get to the Hotkeys section do I type in "wait" or do they have a list of options for me to choose from? As you can tell I never use hotkeys. By the way, thanks for the help.

Sorry for the slow reply; I'm sure you've already gotten it, but for the archive:

Scroll down and select Party Orders: Wait
