The unrelated sequel of Divine Divinity.

They've made lots of changes. Now you can create your own character and even create his skills. You now control a party instead of just one character, and the game can be paused to give orders just like in BG.

They also improved the engine, now you can have lots of different screen resolutions, the special effects are way better, and the characters move faster.

But the game seem to be mostly hack and slash. I've completed the first chapter, and so far I only got a few fedex and "kill this monster" quests from the other non-hostile npcs in the dungeon I started in. So far the dialogs with npcs have been mostly meaningless, the only options they reallly gave me was to start a fight, trade, or take on a quest. Of course the game refer to the first of the four chapter as a kind of tutorial chapter, let's hope the others are a little more like the first game.

The back story is interesting, a Demon captured you and linked your soul with that of a rebel Death Knight, both of you are unappy at that and must work together to free yourselves or you'll spend eternity linked.
