I want to know at which level you must dualclass a Kensai/mage to become a real killingmachine. I want a good kensai but also acces to high level spells and enough TOB spells to be very powerfull.

Since you have ToB, I'd advice to dual at Kensai level 13. That will mean that the highest Mage level you can get is 28 instead of 31, but according to the Spell Progression table in my manual, 28 is the last level at which a Mage gains a new spell slot, so any level after this would be wasted anyway. This will guarantee maximum power as a Mage and acceptable strength (IMO at least) as a Kensai.

That would make you a more powerful Kensai obviously, with an extra proficiency point, extra bonus to THAC0 and damage, and probably an extra Kai per day, but it would mean that you'll lose out on 1 6th level, 2 7th level, 2 8th level and 2 9th level spell slots.
I myself am a great fan of Wizards and spellcasting, so I would dual at level 13, but it's your call, of course, if you find it more profitable like this, then by all means, go for it. |

I dualed my Kensai to mage at level 16. But I have TDD and the max level is 50, so I think I can get the high levels spells too. But I'm not sure. So if someone happens to know I'd be pleased if you'd share it with me and the others
