Do spells work underwater? What about enchanted items? It makes sense that a ring that does fire damage on target wouldn't work underwater but what about an item that does shock damage for instance, or paralyze on target at 10ft.?

Another one: I get the weapon damage difference, when I get 2-3 damage with quick chops but 25 when I take a good swing, but how do enchanted items work when it comes to damage? If my shock amulet does 1-25 damage, how do I get it to do 25 damage every time? Or is it dumb luck? experience?

Most spells work underwater. AFAIK, fire is the only effect that doesn't. I know shock does, but I'm not sure about frost. I wonder what happens when you cast water walking while underwater?

For damge ranges on spells, I believe it is random, and evenly distributed across the range. I'm not 100% sure though, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The spell fails and you get a message saying this spell effect can't work where you are.

When enchanting an item, a weapon that delivers a 1 - 45 point shock punch costs as much as one that does a straight 23. I'm pretty sure ranges are just random.

If the damage listed is 1 - 25. The damage that will be done is from the range of 1 - 24. It will never gives a damage of 25. If you want to have a damage of 25. Make the damage listed 25 - 25.
