I checked these boards and didn't see a post about this so I'll put one up for the new guys or in case anybody missed it. I was level 9 when I got this item and had some decent weapons. Not sure if you're new you could get this item (gotta fight to get it) but worth a shot. It's for people with the heavy armor skill or if you just want some extra spending cash. The Mail has an armor rating of 160 and is worth 120,000, plus can cast a spell to increase your health. Talk to people in Ebonheart. They'll all mention something about the Lord's Mail being missing. Somebody will tell you who to talk to to find out more info. He's in the imperial commission. I forgot his name. Just 3 in there. Talk to all of them. He tells you this guy went missing along with the Lord's mail and he's a suspect. He sends you to the Imperial Garrison. When you talk to these guys in the garrison they tell you he had a room in the SW corner. Go there and on the bed you'll see a pillow. Get it and underneath you'll find a key. Grab it and head back to the far east side of the castle towards the dragon statue. Right when you cross the bridge turn left. You'll see stairs going down into the water. Take em into the water and swim to the left. Swim all around the castle looking to your right underwater and you'll come to a door. Go through it and the battle is on. If you win you get the mail and a few other items. Keep going and you'll come to a door that the key unlocks. More good weapons in there. It's close to the Imperial Commission and there's a secret door. Maybe thiefs could pick this from the other side (Worth a shot). Anyway figured I'd just get a few septims if I talked to somebody while it was in my inventory or arrested if I was wearing it but all they say when you got it on is "nice to see it's in good hands."
If anybody knows where a better piece of mail is holler so I can get my hands on it. Good luck guys!

Thanks for the welcome Johnny. Also, granted it's not real pretty, Rage, like the Glass ones, but my major skill is Heavy Armor so it's the best I've found so far to use. I found a full set of glass armor and weapons I wish I could use. Looks damn good, but it doesn't' do me any good with my low light armor skill. There any better than that one, Rage? Holler back and let me know so I can grab it if so. Thanks.

Don't worry dude, later in the game you'll find everything you need. My favourite heavy armour is Daedric. But why don't you work on your light armour skills then ? Right now i'm level 37 and i still walk in a glass outfit, and it works fine for me, although i should be wearing heavy armour cause i'm most skilled in that.

That is strange in my game the Lords mail is AC 140 and worth 190000

Could that be caused by either class or race??

And in my game is medium not heavy armor... however, if you're lookin for armor, get:

a)heavy: daedric cuirass
b)medium: dreugh cuirass
c)light: cuirass of the savior's hide (AC rating better than glass, resist magic 60% constant!!!!!) [Ask if you want to know where to find it]

Perhaps it depends on your medium armor skill: I have a low skill in heavy armor and Daedric tower shields give me a meager 40 armor rating, but it should be much greater
