Government District

I've just installed BG II and I can't get into the Government District. I get to the loading screen, but it only loads halfway and then my computer freezes, meaning I have to restart everything. What can I do about this? Could it just be a dirty CD? Or should I reinstall the game? Any ideas would be welcome

I had the same problem Alex, Uninstall it, then install it again and use the patch. I used the full install I thought but that was on my old computer and that was a long time ago

so I'm not sure
Do you have the cheat option enabled in the baldur.ini ??? that causes problems sometimes too. Disable it and try, if that don't work well then..er..
