Hey everyone!! I'm new to this forum....
anyway, I was wondering...has anyone ever tried to attack aran linvail in his guildhall?? I needed the experience points, so i tried it. I got my @*& kicked. Just wondering if anyone has beaten him, and how?? |

Welcome to IW! Where's Hardy?  j/kAFAIK you *can't* kill him as he is a plot-critical character, so the programmers have scripted in another NPC which will appear if you try to off Aran Linvail. This other NPC, according to those who have browsed the files, if armed to the teeth with whoopa$$ weapons and can't be killed either. His sword does something like 1000 points damage per hit.  You will get a chance, in Chapter 3, to kill him, depending on what choice you make when you are confronted with it. Welcome to the Forums!
I have done it before, so, yes it is possible. I can't recall anything that I did, I think a Cloudkill wiped out most of the members of the room, then I picked off any that remained with my tank and magic missiles. |

I went in there armed to the teeth, and all of my protections on from my mages and clerics. It took about....geee....two backstabs to annihilate my character and the rest of my party. And this was on the first floor. We're so pathetic. What kind of Child of Bhaal am I?!?1 It makes me sad...
