Annoying bug

Encountered a very annoying but non-serious bug in my current game...

Certain, random people whom I attempt to talk to are too busy. Main one is Bernard in the CC (repeatedly) - leaving the area and returning seems to let him him finish whatever his important business was. Now it's happened to the lady of the night in the bridge district (skinner quest).

What's up? Are the folks of Athkatla just too busy to talk to the son of a god?

how come in over 2 weeks no-one has replied?
Someone must have the same problem. Even Edwin has decided not to talk to me

I've had that problem. Some of the merchants are too busy (with just standing there) to talk to me. Aerie even did this to me once. It seems that coming back a few hours later makes everything okay.

Do you have TOB installed? I believe that is one of the problems that Bioware has fixed in their Beta patch for TOB.

Looking at the date of his post, which is before TOB was release, I would say no, he did not have TOB installed.

A) you have been to the Baldurdash bug site

B) you have the final patch

C) You have done all the garbage people recommend like re-installing, defragging, blah, blah, blah...

Assuming all that, we are not answering, because we dont know. I did not have this problem.

Thanks y'all - done everything mentioned (except buy ToB, that is!) It gives me an extra excuse to buy it now.

Antonious, you may be pleased to know that Electronics Boutique have got TOB down as a 20th July release for the UK. Please, no sarcastic replies from the priviliged masses who've received copies of this game long before us downtrodden Brits!

As for the merchants, make sure your reputation isn't too low. Merchants will refuse to sell you items if it is too low.
