Annoying Orb

Ever since I started ToB, there has been an orb circling my main character. It looks like the orb that surrounds a character taht casts minor globe of invulnerability. It's so annoying. How do I get rid of it?

Is this character wearing the cloak of reflection? If so, the new graphical effect is incredibly annoying. Delete clk26.itm (or something like that anyway) from your override directory, but this will also restore the old abilities of the cloak, which some consider cheating.

He is not wearing the cloack of reflection, but the Cloak or Mirroring instead. I removed all items except for my weapons from my main character and the globe is still there.

Ah, it was the cloak of mirroring that created this orb around my character. Before, when I took it off of him, the globe didn't disappear because I didn't unpause the game, so I took off all his items and put them back on 1 by 1, checking to see what created the orb. So even though the cloak of mirroring is so handy, I switched it with the cloak of reflection, which only creates a little circle underneath my character, and I don't mind that. Strange how I didn't have the orb on my character when I used the cloak in SoA...

This is because in SoA the cloak had the effect of Spell Turning which was considered overpowered (you could walk up to a mage or a beholder and watch him kill himself without doing you any harm). Therefore it was toned down to just absorbing the damage instead of reflecting it -> Globe of Invulnerability.
The animations are a consequence of that: old anim. = SpellTurning, new anim = Globe of Inv.
