How do I use my pre-generated multiplayer characters in single player mode rather than the NPC's (Minc, Imowen, tec....)

Why didn't you play multiplayer? It's much easier because you can import the chars in. (Mind you single player has some features multi doesn't) Have you tried shadowkeeper and edited the NPCs?

Start in multiplayer
then copy save game to save file instead of mpsave |
