I don't know what to do anymore cause I have done everything that the four warders told me to. I gave one of them the stone (top left) I think the top right wants you to hit the gong so I went and beat the crap out of it but was he happy... no. The bottom right told me good but go do what my boys say then we can talk again. And finally the bottom left wants me to read the books to activate the sword I think... but guess what I read the books (there are only 4 right cause thats all I see?) and the sword didn't change at all... WTF... What am I doing wrong? Well I'm downloading the patch for TOSC now maybe that will fix it... Any ideas anyone?

ok....you rang the gong, you read all four books, and the statue should glow, after that you find the large pile of treasure and pick out the Glittering Beljuril gem. A key is in the small pile. Use the key in a night-stand and unlock the drawer. Inside, you'll find the switch for the engine. Don't forget to grab the grapes. Use the switch in the engine room, and make wine. Take the wine to the Warder. Then get ready to fight the Warders...they're tough, but use smart stradegy, not brute strength...I found a way to take them on one at a time...and my party was scattered throughout the room. Using oil of speed and summonning aid are good ideas.

To make the gong sound you should first repair the mallet, which parts are one in a barrel in the main part of the map and the other I can´t remember right now, just take a look at everything you can look into. I could tell you there is nothing you should open with a thief (at least nothing really necessary).

To the sword quest, you should read the books in order, first the one next to the entrance and going farther each time till you read the farthest and it will say in blue fonts: When you read the last book something opens etc etc...' and you should go to the sword and he´ll talk you.

You MUST ring the gong with the mallet made to do just that, it comes in two pieces,
1). The Handle. (Looks like a nondescript handle).
2). The Head. (Looks like a round stone).
You find these somewhere around on this floor, right clicking on them will describe what they are. You take both pieces to the Forge, to the Anvil. Your cursor should change to two arrows pointing around in a circle, click once and it will explain what the forge is used for, click again and the mallet will be repaired. Bring the repaired mallet and hit the gong with that. Your response to this action should be that you don't hear a sound but you sense a vibration. Now go to the Dwarf and he will be satisfied.

To activate the sword you must read the books in a certain order. Go to the book furtherst from the door and read each in turn from left to right. You should be informed of a noise occuring across the hall, go to that room and the Sword will thank you, go to the Dwarf who asked you for Pride he will disappear on completion.

If you have already read all the books but not in the required order I don't know if the quest can be completed. Maybe it can, maybe it can't, but the required order is the one I gave you above. To accurately locate the order of books, go across the hall to where the sword is, locate the closest book to that, trace the books back to the left until you find the first and read each in turn them left to right.

The mallet head is in the first set of rooms to the left as you enter the level, that is relative to your party, the handle is in one of the barrels in the same room as the warders, and the anvil to repair it is in the set of rooms north of where you found the head, across the "dining room", or whatever. You will need the grapes, which are in a trapped chest, or dresser in the bedroom where the skeleton warrior and two skeletons are, and the key, as the power switch to the wine press is in the desk the key and the Beljuril jewel are in the same room as well. Be sure that you grab the gold plate mail, I don't think it is important, but you just never know. As for the books, I always read them counter clockwise, so I don't think it matters which way you read them, so long as you go one way or the other. This plus the other listed tips should get you in to the fight of your young adventuring career. Good Luck.
