Has any one had weird item drops by creatures such as a trynni patrol

in one of my more recent parties i have going at the moment i have had a number of reasonably high level item drops by a Rapac priestess( the single one before the door up to the room with the rapax high priestess) and a trynnie patrol ( one of the 2 at the start of trynton patoling around Gari) the priestess dropped the fire sword (not the avengar) and the patrol dropped a The Ravens Bill. i found this quite wierd when i killed the 2 trynies i was at quite a high level (my alchemist could cast lvl 6 green quick sand) just on my walking back round killing every one i can with the instant kill trick. with the priestess i was 1 or 2 levels before that of the time with the Trynnie

has any one else experiance with these high level item drops

also by the way does any one know what the stats of the vorpal blade is in wiz 8

Greetings Palsonmania! Welcome to the board. The best place IMO for item stats is Lanastasia's website at:

You will find information there about level sensors for certain monsters; If you kill them when you are higher level, they may drop better stuff than if you kill them at a much lower level.

I also found a Raven's Bill after a Trynnie Champion died because he was poisoned by a Widowmaker Spider. Other drops are mostly useless.

The first time i had a Dread Spear it was dropped by a Trynnie Champion killed by a Sprite in my first game.

By far the weirdest load of crappola you can get in the game is from oak and tree sprites (not the flying freaks, the ent looking things, guardians or elders or whatever they are name nowadays) in Ascension peak. My party is lvl 28 or so and i always fight them. I get like 11 items from them each, and its varies from full plate to powder. Seriously, i knew nature was strong but really... thats just unfair

oh ok cool so i aint the only one getting these wierd drops. also the other day i was fighting some leaf sprites in madras' place and he was attacking with a alder staff (he never hit much). i have never seen this in any item lists
