After you recruit Rodan and Druzic, do they leave you after
speaking to both of their leaders and is there a way to get
either of them back?

First, you need to take them to the Umpani general. He gives you an alliance offer to take to Zant.

When you reach zant, save! She sometimes goes hostile. Remove the offer, and click it on her: don't use the usual 'give' command: increases the odds of hostile.

She then gives you a recipocal offer and a tracking device to give the general.

Return to the general, give the agreement, Rodan and Drazic will leave.

General will give you a top level security pass, which you take to the top of Mt. Gigas, where you install the trang tracker in the control console for the weapon aimed at the dark ship. Launch the missle.

In total, more than a million exp/character. Alas, the exp. isn't increased proportionately for smaller parties.

Well nice, but i guess you, dark hermit, want to know if, there is a way to get back rodan or drazic after they left. I don't think so, never heard that someone has made that. I'm glad, if both stay till you meet yamir and zant because once rodan left the party, i had no idea why..he was just gone and i didnt know where to search. Then drazic said, no way, i wont go without rodan..and then he also left.
that was very strange but i could reload and it worked.
