Rodan and Drazic keep dying!

Hi. I'm trying to free Rodan and Drazic but they keep dying. The only solution I see is to kill all the Rapax before freeing them. Should I do this? Also, possible bug. When you climb a ladder i.e. archer tower and combat starts from monsters on ground, you can't climb down the ladder. I was stuck up there while Rapax templar masters annihalated my party with several nuclear blasts. I really want to free Rodan and Drazic. Thanks.

When I played through the Away Camp I reached the stockade last thing of all so all the Rapax were dead before I freed them ... like you say, climbing ladders in combat is a complete no-no so I didn't even THINK about freeing them until the area was Rapax-free ... IMHO the Away Camp was possibly the hardest area to do, especially as the Rapax were hostile to me 'cos I hadn't been to the Rift before I did the Camp.

What's the problem - so they die, your party gets full benefit of the experience, then you resurrect them before you speak to Yamir and Z'ant. The downside of that is......???????
