I cannot figure out what is wrong. I can't get into any of the buildings besides the one with the steps. It's like there is an invisible force field, how do I get in?

Try backing up and running at them. I've had problems myself when I approach them too slowly or stop just before the step up. It's almost like you have to have some momentum to carry you up and over them.

Hehehe I have nearly always this problem. With all the 1000th of stones I carry my team is to loaded to get up the steps
 Just run and you'll get in
