The Best good mage

Your ideas on the best good aligned mage and where to find them would be appreciated.
I now have Darkest Day installed, are there any good aligned mages included with this?

In TDD there's a non-evil mage in the Docs (not in any building, and you may have to be high level to meet him).

Out of TDD, Nalia and Imoen are your best bets for good mages.

Aerie wins for "cutest li'l mage".

in order of quality, in my opinion:

nalia is the best good aligned,pure(ish) mage in the game. shes in the Copper Coronet.

imoen is more of a thief (nalia dosent deserve the title) but still an excellent mage. by the end of the game these should both have level 8 spells, level 9 with ToB. You start with her and get her back in spellhold.

aerie is crap as a mage, acceptable as a cleric, but that dosent matter since you dont use her as your primary mage, do you? use her for backup and healing. she can also turn undead, but i only remembered this in an certain crypt much later on and she turned about 50 skeletons before dying. no exageration. shes in the yellow circus tent just south-east of the exit from irenicuses dungeon.

jan i havent tried, but is the only NPC thief that can level up as a thief. except yoshi and he has his own problems. he also has magical abilities, should be similar to what aerie can accomplish. hes in the goverment district selling contraband and turnips.

...well after all, i think you should take Aerie and Nalia in the first place (Nalia is sufficient as thief in early game, quiete able when it comes to disarming traps and for locks there is the knock spell...) but you should exchange her as fast as possible with Imoen (I can't stand Nalia's kommunistic 'help the poor' whining)...

Thanks for the tips, I quite like Aerie BUT and its A BIG BUT.
I Cant stand the I miss my wings whining, so I end up back with Nalia
I find the how are we helping bla bla bla a little less grating.

I think for balance you should have Anomen, Imoen, and Aerie. Imoen can handle being your primary mage and thief. Anomen is a decent cleric and offers much needed support on the front line. I use Aerie to fill in the gap as mage/cleric. 3 bashers and 3 magic users.
