They are ok their wild surge that they get everonce in a while is really annoying. you will be doing a 9th level spell and birds will get created around you or spell trap spell will go off ect. They can get some good stuff too like mass invis on the whole prty but ifyou didnt want that to happen then that sucks. There isnt really anything different about the wid mage except the wild surge and that gets REALLY annoying someetimes. If you like the mage then i would just go with the mage.

Wild mages are amazing nehalls dance renhoower or somthing like that cast any of your spells if there in or not in memory that spell is only LVL1!!! better than any other type of mages hands down

As Wes said, Nahal's Reckless Dweomer ( [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) lets you cast any spell in your spellbook for the cost of a level 1 spell.

Plus they get the extra spell slot per level of all specialists without the penalty of not being able to learn spells from a certain school.

And the Wild Surges aren't too bad. They happen only 5% of the time anyway.

All things considered, Wild Magi are the most powerful of the Mage classes IMO, if you make good use of Chaos Shield.

I don't think they actually get an extra spell per level like they should. I remember having only 5 per level! Stupid WM...

Regardless, they are incredibly fun to play... You need a sense of humor though for when funny outcomes occur (IE get sex changed... lol)
