I see people mentioning that they've used Bloodlust and it deals out some nice damage. I sold it to Antone because it had an 'unremovable' curse on it. Is it not a problem to use a cursed item? Can the curse actually be removed? Can I buy it back from Antone???

Bloodlust is one of the best swords that I've encountered so far! Yes, it's cursed, but a bishop or scroll can remove that curse. Don't understand the "unremovable" part. I was able to easily "uncurse it. Great sword for a samurai who doesn't have the berserk ability! You should be able to re-purchase it from Antone. Everything I've sold so far (13/15th level party) has stayed in his inventory.

I like the "Plague Axe" personally.
While Vi is AWOL in the statue, I'm toting around Sparkle instead (so I'm a bit maso...) and I gave it to her. Those status effects rock!

I consider this thread slightly spoily
. . . . . . . . . . . Bloodlust is not the best sword of the game, but one of the best that are garanteed, i.e. not randomly generated. Its main feature is the beserk attack mode, which kind off grants beserk to non-fighter types (double damage). So don't use it with a fighter but e.g. with a samurai. It's cursed, so it could removed only with the remove spell (which the bishop has automatically). The curse is removed from the player, not from the sword, though. So once removed and reequipped it couldn't be removed again. What's the problem with that? You can't autochange weapon in combat to e.g. a ranged weapon. Which is why you shouldn't give it to your ranger |

I like it too. My dracon fighter (lvl 10) has it.
One more nice thing about Bloodlust, that it has Initiate +5. It allows me to attack 2-3 times at the round start and 2-3 times at round end (berserk mode). Every hit is about 25-50 damage. Nice, yep? |

I've seen references to this sword quite a few times here (and on other boards) but have so far been unable to find it.
I've cleared Arnika, most of Trynton, the swamp, the wildernesses and Marten's Bluff partly. Did I miss it somwhere? If so, a hint would be appreciated... ![]() |

SPOILER
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The bloodlust is found in Arnika bank vault. Go to the smith (Antone) and go behind him to enter into his bedroom. Use a thief, or whatever, to open his chest. Take out the bank keycard and visit the bank. There are two ways you can enter the vault. A) there are three buttons near the bank teller. Hitting the last one will open the elevator to go down (the other two will call guards). Once inside use the keycard to open his vault and take the sword. The other two vaults belong too the other merchants in the city, forgot the names, but you get the keycards from their chests. The second way is using the portal found inside one of the cells in the jail--I think I haven't tried that yet. |

Spoiler
v v v v v v v v v v Replying to above spoiler: The jail cells only get you to the actual Vault side of the bank lower level, not the 'safety deposit box' side, which is where Bloodlust is. |

If you give one of the keycards to the bank teller, she will open the elevator for you. You may be attacked if you try to press the buttons yourself. She doesn't keep the keycard.
