Hi Folks,
I'm sure a lot of the uber players here have found this already, but I found a really nice stock up in the Lower Marten's Bluff area. Right as you enter the Marten's Bluff from the Mines, you go down a corridor where you see about 4-5 of those cool Star Trek doors that you have to push buttons on. There is a green pool of slime in middle, can't miss it. Most of the doors have locks on them, ranging from 2-4 tumblers. Here's what I did that really helped my Mage out. 1. Go to the door with 2 tumblers, and pick or knock knock it open. Now, you can use this room to rest (and nab a few items) after shutting the door from the inside and you will never be attacked. 2. Just to the left of this door, is another door with 4 lock tumblers. Just go to it, and cast Knock-Knock at power level 1 until you run out of spell points. Go back to the other room and rest, repeat, repeat, etc. In just 30-40 minutes of doing this, my Felpurr Mage's Earth Magic skill went from 23 up to 80. This was awesome since I had weak Earth magic, all I can say now is LEVEL 7 CRUSH!! I was getting 3-4 points for the Earth realm each time he ran out of magic. Once I got up past 70, he started getting only 1-2, but I think with a few more tries it would max out. He also increased his Power Cast from 20 to around 40, and his Wizardry from 90 to about 105. Now I'm working on getting my Ranger Knock-Knock so he can get his magic skills up. He has 0-5 in all realms since I use him as a warrior instead of a magic user. I'm hoping this will also get his Alchemy skill up so he can learn more spells. I imagine that Divine Trap will work here as well to help get your Mental magic up for other characters. This is a *GREAT* place for this trick, although you can do it anywhere with a higher level locked door, at least here you can rest without worrying about getting attacked. There are few monsters in this area anyway, so I never saw any creatures while doing this. Just don't open the door until you've gotten your magic skills up! Best, Scronan

Great idea Scronan.
Another place you could do this would be the Arnika bank vault. You can get in through the secret passage, then cast knock knock on the door from the inside. It's perfectly safe to rest inside the vault as well. |
