the default size for these graphics is 608x288 at the 640x480 setting. how would people feel about an overland that you had to scroll. i remember that in frua you had to scroll it side to side, but i always have felt that people were kind of annoyed by that...
my map would probably need to be scrolled up and down if that's any consolation.

Actually, you could never scroll the map in unlimited adventures. I have no problem with having to scoll.

Scrolling is no problem. A large map = a lot of fun.

well, the maps in unlimited adventures didn't scroll per se, they just showed about 2/3 at a time and when you got to the border on the east or west, it would jump to show the remaining 1/3 with the middle 1/3.

glad to hear that bigger is not a problem. i'm starting work on a map of the dales, and i think it would be nigh impossible to show all of them on the default size overland. it's going to be a square about 640 to a side.

i do have a default size map (608x288) that i'm going to finish first- it's of a generic adventurous region of somewhere. just a nice looking map for nice folks to use.
