anyone read books by him? are they good? I hope I didnt waste my money

He is pretty good. I have read his Elminster series, and have been looking for his independent series (not from the Forgotten Realms.)
I have also read a few of his short stories. His has a subtle sense of humor in his short stories, and his novels are quite enjoyable to read.
