How is Legolas pronounced?

Is it Lee golas with a long e,

or leg olas sounding like Leg long O las

Leg-oh-las, though the oh should be a bit shorter than that.
We'll see what they make of it in the movies though

In my mind, I've always heard it kind of like LeGOlas. But then....my mind is frequently confused.

Leg-oh-las as Logolas said. The audio cassettes back this up. Apparently, when they made the tapes, they asked Christopher Tolkien to send a tape with all the prenunciations over from France.

No, I think it's a very short 'e', like in 'elf'

Tancred's pronounciation sounds right to me, that's how I always pronounce it.
