Well, not silly in my mind, but maybe to some of you guys.
How is Legolas pronounced? Is it Lee golas with a long e, or leg olas sounding like Leg long O las |

I've never heard it pronounced, but that's the way I've always thought it sounded. |
Leg-oh-las, though the oh should be a bit shorter than that.
We'll see what they make of it in the movies though ;) |
In my mind, I've always heard it kind of like LeGOlas. But then....my mind is frequently confused. :confused:

Leg-oh-las as Logolas said. The audio cassettes back this up. Apparently, when they made the tapes, they asked Christopher Tolkien to send a tape with all the prenunciations over from France.

No, I think it's a very short 'e', like in 'elf'
