I've just finished reading the first 2 books of the Counselors and Kings Trilogy: Elaine Cunningham's books on Halruaa.

I'd have to say - not bad! I was a bit sceptical at first, thinking that it would be difficult portraying Halruaa, but she did quite a good job. The first third of The Magehound is quite confusing because not a lot about Halruaan culture is explained, but it grew on me enough to order the second one in (The Floodgate) and that grew on me even more. I'm now waiting for the third one, Wizardwar, but it's not due out till 2002!

Oh well.

Uh. No. Sorry! And... erm... I have no idea what/who Halruaa is either (the dragon hides her head under a wing in shame..)

I was looking at those wondering whether to buy them. Guess I will now, after I get through "Tymoras' Luck" that I'm currently reading.
