Lo Z, is there any chance you could see whats causing my character to stop attacking when using this sword?

The other two-handed swords seem to work fine, but my character "pauses" every couple of seconds into attacking and invites Sneak Attacks etc which is irritating.

Could you just take a look at it and see if you can spot anything wrong with it, cheers matey.

Dace x

I've had that problem with other weapons as well, like with the fireburst rapier (+8) for instance. Really odd. I have no clue as to what could cause such a thing.

Don't think it's a bug. That sword is meant to be what it is.

There have been previous posts about it. The sword seems to be a trap and you can't get rid of it (I've bought the damned thing myself but only the once).

I assume your character is immune to death magic otherwise you end up dieing whenever you use it.

There may be clipping issues. I think that is what Dace is having problems with. Oddly enough I have not had any issues of the sort while using that particular sword recently. I will have to go through the module again and see if there are glitches I have been missing while checking out the various different weapon types.

I sort of assumed that the Planar Rift properties 'on hit' would affect the person struck, not the PC.

Anyone care to clarify why hitting someone else with the sword targets the PC?

Because the item is as close as NWN's got to a cursed weapon. I have seen it work on other chars, in the PVP arena, during a practice session. Dude hit me with it, and died.

I'd like to find some protection from death magic equipment, but I don't know where to look. Any hints?

I don't think this is a spoiler as it may be one of the first things you come across.

There are many items which protect from death magic but when you first log in Durnan sells a Belt of Guiding Light.

True seeing is something you may need as well.
