I journeyed back down into the Undermountain last night. I worked on my character and fixed a few problems with him. I had a couple of nice swords that I had tried to equip the night before, only to learn they had not been identified yet. Durnan was very helpful in that respect. So I learned what all my stuff would do, then sold off what I didn't need. After that, I headed into the kitchen to talk to the cook and be sent on his Mushroom Quest. I headed down the well with renewed confidence and began searching....and searching....and searching. I found LOTS of mushrooms, but none I could actually pick up. I also ran into some VERY nasty beasts (the Fire Giant Boss was the worst ). After conducting an exhaustive search, I finally had to abandon my mission around 12:30am (because the player was exhausted as well).

PLEASE HELP!!!

Since Memnoch (and others) were helpful enough to tell me how to bring NWN character into Undermountain, I thought this would be a good (and relatively easy) quest for him to undertake for some quick XP and GP.

I'll be journeying back into the Undermountain this afternoon (around 5pm or so) - then will probably pop back in around 9pm (Eastern Standard Time).

Please give me directions to the mushroom for the cook, because those fire giants will just make mincemeat of my poor Wizard/Rogue.

As always, thanks for your help.

Sorry, Cerek, I don't know that one, but if you are there at 10 PM CST Friday night, I will come along and help you. Fire Giants, pah! Or, I could be there at 6 PM CST, today, if you like.

I'm not sure what I will do this evening, Attalus. The one thing that is certain is I will NOT be in Undermountain at 6pm CST, because that is the same time my wife will be coming home with the boys - so it will be time to get baths and get them ready for bed. Fortunately, by getting them into bed at 8pm (EST), I normally can get back on the PC by about 8:45pm. That's MUCH better than the 9:30-10pm time that was normal before school started back.

I've played around with my ranger some more this morning before work. He is now Ranger(10)/Cleric(8). To be honost, though, he hasn't used any of his clerical abilities so far in the Undermountain. It's just been straight hack-n-slash. Now I've equipped him with a double sword of my own design to see how that works.

I would really like to play my elf Wizard/Rogue...but I also want to go ahead and finish Chapter 1 of NWN with him too. Of course, I quick trip to Undermountain could be very profitable in gold and experience both...making the end of Chapter 1 that much easier.

Well, then, shall we say 9:00? I can use my 20th level pally or my 14th level Drow cleric.

We'll try for 9pm, but I can't promise I'll be there. Just depends on how easily the boys go to bed.

Bring your paladin and I'll bring Seric, my ranger/cleric.

CST, like less than an hour from now. You'd be welcome.
