Spellcasters quest

I just wonder if there is a door with a sun dial in the city core...i thougth i saw one but now i can't find it!

I do not believe so, they are only in the four districts.

I also wonder if there are any cool staves for spellcasters. Are there?

I havn't even seen a +1 staff, let alone a cool staff. My mage uses a +1 Astral Sword.

Staff of the Magi and Staff of Power to mention two. I believe I found 6 to 8 different staves, MOST of which are usable by mages.

I'll edit this when I get home with the complete list.

Playing on a fresh install I found jack for wizard staffs. I'm talking no patches at all, because an earlier patch meant you couldn't pass level 16 in xp before finishing the game, and I wanted to make level 20.

Update to patch 1.28, and I start finding staffs all over the place. I think they've now been added to the random treasure tables. I'm finding them in chests and crates, obviously not "planted" items that are always there.
Also, there seems to be more xp hanging around, I'm not having any trouble leveling. I guess that patch from many many months ago when I stopped playing has been patched.
