I can't seem to find Bran, the werewolf.
![]() I'm also not having luck with the archaeologist's (sp?) task of getting the head of the lead orc/ogre/whatever. I've been through the cave system and completed them, but never found a "head" guy. If I killed him and didn't get his head for some reason, would it still be laying around? As for my comment -- I don't have nearly the gaming time I'd like, so I decided to play a good-ol' fighter. Simple and uncomplicated. I went with the dual weapon option, and if anyone's considering it, it really seems to've paid off for me. I don't seem to have a problem with AC, so the shield is no big loss, and at level 12, I'm routinely doing a combined hit damage of 45 points (that's average, it's sometimes as high as 75...I never tried the big two-handers, so I was wondering if it's comparable, or even better... The werewolves are scattered about...
*SPOILERS* - - - - - - - - - One is in the farmlands in the southern part of Port Llast...he is in the top floor of a house (it's easy to miss, I certainly did the first time around until someone told me.) Another one of them is running around in the South Road near Charwood, at the bottom southeast corner of the map (if I am not mistaken, it's hard to remember.) Then the third is on the second floor of the Green Griffon Inn, and the final one is in the caves of the latter area. The head you are looking for isn't hard to find, just penetrate the caves and you will find the guy, kill him, and take his head. Dual-wielding is definitely awesome. I'm playing a ranger/rogue through, and he kicks such major ass with his dual-wielded Astral Longsword and Longsword +1. He has weapon specialization in longsword AND in greatsword as well, so I switch it up and sometimes bust out the monstrous Harbringer greatsword of fire and use that to smash some bastids. And for long range, the trusty and accurate Eagle bow does the job for me (though i've started using throwing axes lately too.) I love this game!

^ what he said ... I have found the Namara (Neversleep) Rapier as a main hand weapon and the Feyduster short sword as an offhand weapon to be an extremely effective combination as you can keep your oponent stunned almost all the time. Also works well with the Kaga-to Katana and the Feyduster.

as far as the big two handed weapons, my dwarf uses a great-axe and he normally does around 22+ damage per hit (lvl 13), but some of his criticals have been over 80 points of damage (x3 damage from the axe)

Where is the guy in the Green Griffon Inn? On the second floor you find the Minotaur and the other door is closed and unbashable (how do you open that)
