It's your choice. NWN will limit you to 3 classes. Which you choose is all up to you, there is no best.

3rd edition is quite different from 2nd edition in regards to levelling, so if you aren't familiar with it, you may wish to read up on it.

True! I will go for a fighter/ranger anytime Heheh! Well lets get the game first..

The levels are depending on a exp that is the same for all classes, so when you gain a level, you choose toeither increas an existing class one notch or add another one.

Ranger/sorc would be more fitting.
The closest would be the elven arcane archer prestige class. (Will they have prestige classes?)

If you get Ranger/Rogue/Wizard you would have pretty much all the skills open for ya.

I always like single classed people better, but theif/mages, and fighter/mages are cool. Fighter/theives are nice too. Are you sure we'll be limited to 3 classes Asterix?

i think that if your party contains a thief, then your thief should duel class. I find that the best is a thief/mage. this gives you the ability to use all thief abilities and attack with mage spells. In BG, this is what i did to Imoen, and she kicks pretty good now. Just think, a mage who can shoot arrows!!!!!

Sorcerer/rouge/cleric is neat way to go.. You get good savingthrows and aren´t the best fighter alive but you get alot of useful skills, sneakattack and alot of spells! You can have armour as spellcaster in new DoD 3:ed but you have spellmissfailure chance depending on how heavy it is..

Don´t know how this will b implemented though..

There are a couple of really good human ones, but they are Powergamer tactics.

If you are a human monk, take your first level as Sorcerer to get the armour and true strike spells, then begin your monk levels, as a human you take can ignore you highest level when working out the experience point penalty.

Also if you are playing a mage, having one level in monk is also a good choice, for the AC bonuses and fighting skills.

This can work for other races but you suffer a 20% exp penalty (Don't know if they are putting this rule in NWN)
