I have a BIG problem! My BG crashes sometimes, usually when I enter a new area, try to talk to someone or when the average Baldurs Gate citizen shouts some utterly uninterresting for no apparent reason. When it crashes I get one of those #@%& blue screens that Windows pester you with.
I also have ToSC installed, but it still don´t work. ![]() Have anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, how did you fix it. If this is a common problem, shouldn´t they take care of it with the patch that comes with ToSC. Thankful for any help!

Not sure if I have the same problem but I'm getting too many (in my opinion)blue screens. It began in chapter 5 and says disc 5 has been removed???
Ok disc 5 had been removed but only when the game demands it. Everything works fine again and the game continues when disc 5 has been kicked back into the system. |

Being a mac user, I'm not very familiar with windows, but it sounds to me like it's a problem with your pc rather than the game. Does your computer work ok otherwise? does it have sufficient ram etc. Of course, if you have always managed to play the game ok before on your pc then it suggests a corrupt BG file somewhere. Sorry I can't be more help.....

It doesn´t matter how many times I re-install the game, the problem is still there.
In any case, thanks for the help.

This dosent sound like a BG problem. Is your PC acting properly in other games? In any case, try updating drivers for your motherboard, graphics card and anything else you can be bothered with. It is also possible theres a flaky ramstick in there.

This same thing actually happened to me. Instead of trying to rectify the problem, I took the lazy man's way. I bought a new computer.
