Crash

Thanks for the responses. I should note I have
already patched the game with the latest patch.

Micron 733
Nvidia Ge Force 256
8 gb hard drive space on D Drive
200 mb on C Drive (game loaded on D)
800 x 600 16 bit color in both game and on desktop.
Full install
Directx 8
Drivers all certified

I have windows ME. I have downloaded directx 8 and it is installed. My game sometimes won't load, if it does it crashes after only a little while, usually when my party rests.

Help Please!

Your cache man! Check what your cache size is in the configeration settings and make sure you have enough space on your C drive. I set my cache to about 450 and leave 600 space on the C drive. (My D drive is 20gb but I use that only for audio.)
Did you turn off 3d? Have you tried lowering the resolution?

Does BG2 cache on the C Drive? I don't have much space there, but lots on my D drive. BG2 is installed on the d drive......

BG 2 is the only game on my usually audio-only D Drive, yet it uses the C drive for the cache.
There's a John Lydon song where the chorus ends: "Don't ask me, 'cause I don't know"

Give yourself more room on the C drive and see if it works.
