Started with it, a few surprises early on but a major HDD crash before I got to the new areas means I cant really say. Havent heard many bad things about it though, and its not an impossibly huge download (And yes, I am on 56K) so its well worth checking out.

It adds some really cool items and some additional areas. You have to start a new game to run it. I have experienced some problems in the new areas, as in I can't find what I'm there to find. But it is worth downloading and starting a new game. Cool stuff for Paladins can be purchased.

Hey, I turned into Elminister with this post. Cool.

My view is the same as Keraptisdm, not only cool stuff for Paladins but Bards as well. Plus towards the end you get to find out about one of the co-conspirators in the iron shortage, or who created the green liquid to tamper with the ore.

My only problem was in a battle with one of the final boss characters on a quest. My game kept crashing but after getting through that every thing was fine.

I've just started playing it, I'm nearly at the Bandit Camp in my game.
So far I really like what I've seen of DSOTSC. They added some monsters like Bugbears and Goblins, edited existing monsters (for example, there are now Kobold Guards with poison daggers) and some of the fights are harder (the Shadow Druid in Larswood kicked my arse in a major way)

BTW, from what I've seen of the items so far, there is a LOT of good stuff for Paladins to be had at the Temple near Beregost. Also some stuff for Lawful Good Clerics, and in Larswood you can get some awesome Druid/Ranger gear (mostly for pure single class though!) Anyway, just my luck for playing a CG Cleric/Ranger. *sigh*

Oh yeah and I also checked out two new NPCs - Bub Snikt (ditched him, boring) and a bard you can find at the Carnival after you clear out the Nashkel Mines. She's pretty useful and comes equipped with some cool custom items.

I haven't had any crashes so far *knocks on wood* but apparently there can be some trouble with loading the new areas.

Anyway, enjoy yourself!

I've got Dark side installed at the moment. It's certainly interesting but not without problems. I've had a few bugs (though the Teambg site is helpful in sorting them) and I find that there is a lot more powerful equipment early in the game which unbalances things a bit. The actual Dark Side Quests are difficult and occasionally frustrating (know what you mean Keraptisdm) but I do like to have new NPC to choose from. Well worth a look for anyone who's played through the game a few times already.
