I FINALLY finished the Boogre Prison which in my view RULES! I was turned into Boogres and that was a real blast with the pit crawler!
Now, I have to head back AFTER I killed the Cyclops and got the lamp - fine, I did that. NOW, I have to deal with two Amazonia Mantraps in which I've been having a HECK of a time with. I just let my spells come back up and use LIFE FORCE and ELEMENTAL (kind of shock) which is doing VERY GOOD DAMAGE! Soon, I'll have these monstrosities killed as well, BUT Erathsmador is also breathing fire at me! So, do I run for the Village (a long way I might add since my Ranger got killed in the Boogre Dungeon or run for the hovel (STILL A LONG WAY.) Any ideas folks? The dragon doesn't do much damage to me if I run and strafe really fast. I need expert advice here. I have a TON of gold - about 15,000 and it would be a waste to see it in skeletons!!! ![]() Thanks for ANY help that can be sent my way!!! WIZARDS AND WARRIORS RULES!!!! Druadic |

The dragon isn't targeting you, actually...he's nearsighted. He'll fly on if you ignore him.
If you're close to the lake, go get back in the lake. The Mantraps will stay on the shore and you can target them at a distance. Erathsmedor never goes around the lake, either; he stays mainly in the Shire. -Sazerac |

Forget targeting Erathsmador while outside. He's needed later in the game. He's easy enough to avoid at this point so do just that, avoid him.

One Matrap down and one to go! These things go after you! The IA for this game is truly amazing! They can hunt you down BIGTIME! As for the Lilies, they were not too bad is you go down the stairs, backtrack to the Boogre stuck on the stairs and launch a pain spell at him when the lily appears. The Boogre gets PO'ed and starts to wipe the lilies out. Worked for all 4 of them! I'm amazed that I didn't have to fight them - just launched a few shock and lifesteal spells at them and they were gone!
I figured Erathsmedor was needed later. He must have seen me on the shore and took a potshot at me. That's normal. But that last flytrap went all the way around the trees next to the southern trail and got me good! I was scared to death when he hit me. These guys make more noise that someone passing wind! It almost makes you jump out of your seat; it's the middle of the night and I WILL NOT move until the light comes back up and I can see the little bugger! ![]() Thanks for the help guys! It's TRULY appreciated! This game RULES! The Boogre prision was SIMPLE. I just went through it, killed the queen, killed the Cyclops (he was REALLY simple), got the lamp and went back out the other side of the boogre area and jumped across after changing the sticks in the walls. Now I have to deal with one more Amazoni Mantrap. WHEW! These things ARE TOUGHER than those spores I just killed. The spores I wiped out in seconds compared to those Mantraps!!! ![]() Druadic |

Everyone, just so you know....Mantraps DO respawn. I ran into 4 more of them around the Spire Entrance area. Fortunately, I was able to run into the entrance and fire at them just out of their range (they can't get their big green butts down that tunnel, ho ho!)

Yeah! There were some after me when I went "foraging around" a cave I came across in which I found to be the Stout Mines and I didn't have the writ so that's why I headed for the Boogre Prison.
I KILLED BOTH AMAZONI MANTRAPS!!!! YEEEHAW! ![]() Used four Elemental Spells and 2 Face of Death spells and it wiped out each of them. I now found a freeze spellbook and can't use it with ANY of my characters. Any ideas here pals? This game gets better and better the more you travel around. Oh, I did find the Griffon and killed it too! What a toughie he was blocking the Stout Mines! GEESH! ![]() It takes quite awhile for my chars to get up in levels so off to the wild blue yonder I go to raise them up! See you all soon again!!! ![]() PS: Yes, the Amazoni Mantraps can't get down ANY of the smaller tunnels which is a BIG plus. If you're in the Boogre Prision and they follow you (I just avoided them at first as someone asked how I missed them; they are EASY to outrun) then head into that tunnel pronto! It works since they can't fit! Just watch for the smaller versions of them; not as tough but can cause EXTREME damage if you don't watch for them and they can travel in water!!! ![]() DW Bradley really had his work cut out for himself on this wonderful game!!! Think I ran into 12 in the Shire area (not all at once) in one game - so yes, they do respawn!
