When I enter the map of the Gnoll Stronghold and the video has been shown for a few seconds the game just ends/disappears and I return to Windows (XP). WHY!

I've checked the video out, and the problem lies within the video shoot (same thing happens when I watch it from the menu).

Does anyone know how this could happen? Is there anyway to avoid the video/exit it while it's playing (esc works from the main menu - but not during the game)

The strange thing is that there's nothing wrong with the other videos

Please help /Per

Ohhhh, I hate corrupted movies......

You could cheat yourself to the Gnoll Stronghold, and by doing so, bypass the movie altogether. But you're so young and innocent, I don't want to get you started cheating so soon..... try reinstalling the game first.

Merlin teleports in (this is why i hate coms, u just have to keep upgrading every year or so, no me though i have the oldest com in the world!) Merlin teleports out, only to band his head on the ceiling, inclining him to use the door.

Yes, they are, but reinstalling helps. Go figure. Have you installed the official BG1 patch? If you have, and you still crash out of that movie, maybe you could borrow someone else's CD 3, or just have them burn you a copy of that one CD.
