Apparently a SPOILER ahead

I am in Chapter six with six badges, but before I proceed I want to finish up this bit with the sack of potatoes... There is supposed to be a dwarf in a well in Dorn's Deep who wants them. Where is this well? I have spent quite a while searching to no avail. Is it above or below the puzzle staircase? Is it in the outer cave with the Miconids? What does this well look like?

Oops, your post is a little bit of a spoiler- not too bad but try to mark them if you give hints like the bag of potatoes and where it goes, ok?

Anyway, SPOILER..............................

...............................

--------------------------------

In the upper level, where the first battles take place in the southeast corner of the map is the well. Take the elevator down and you will find a whole new area of the map to explore and the deepgnomes you need to talk to are there.

In the main area of Lower Dorn's Deep there is a circular part of the floor in the northwest corner. That area is actually an entrance into a sub-area called the Oubliette. Answers to the questions you have may be found there.

There is a hole in the wall with a rough hewn area behind it. Nobody is left there, I may have killed them all. Is that bad? I still don't see any sign of a well or elevator. Is there any way to get locations, like the "L" key in BG1?

I found the well! I though that part of the game (the glacier and beyond) was called Worm's Tooth. Is Worms Tooth in the MIDDLE of Dorn's Deep?

Now I can finish the game in peace.

No, the map is a little strange. After emerging from Upper Dorn's Deep you come out into Wrym's Tooth Glacier; you may adventure in the glacier or proceed directly to Lower Dorn's Deep, providing you can fight your way to the entrance. Mind you, going to lower Dorn's first and then returning to the Glacier can have its advantages.

Azred,

I just popped out into Wyrm's Tooth, and have been toasting... well, heh, heh, heh, you know what needs toasting in that main outside area of Wyrm's Tooth ...

Anyway, you say, "After emerging from Upper Dorn's Deep you come out into Wrym's Tooth Glacier; you may adventure in the glacier or proceed directly to Lower Dorn's Deep, providing you can fight your way to the entrance. Mind you, going to lower Dorn's first and then returning to the Glacier can have its advantages."

What I would like to know --while I am still kicking butt out in the sunshine before I venture into any buildings-- is: What are the advantages to doing Lower Dorn's first?

What's a party,
without a song?
Bards ROCK!
Party on!!

Doing Dorn's "Ice" chapter prior to the "Fire" chapter nets you a Scimitar (resist fire) to slice up the Fire Salas'.

Otherwise, all the goodies you get in the Fire area will make it easier to chop/spell your way through the Frost Salas' and Frost Giants.
