In the very first Bauldersgate you could summon as many monsters as you wanted I loved summoning monster. Summoning monster did most of my battles ahem that is not the point. I think I know why Baulder 2 they limited monster summoning to 5. The way I killed Sarevok was cheating I think. YOu see I had a summoning wand and oh forget it I'll give you the live action detail. I was in the temple of BHAAL. The place looked creeeeepy. I summoned monsters with a monster wand I summoned like 50 I moved foward and me and Sarevok gave eacthother a big slap on the back. We decided to fight i retreated and I sent all my monster to attack Sarevok. I summoned more and more monsters. I sent like a 100 and my computor lagged a lot uh huh. Sarevok was killing my monsters. The monsters were Gnolls,Kobolds and Hobogoblins.Sarevok destroyed half the army I kept on sending more and more monsteers until my monster wand chargers are all outta gas. I sent my entire party to fight Sarevok except me of course! Minsc hit sarevok and Sarevok chopped Minsic to little pieces. Everyone died and Sarevok was heading toward me fast. But I saw BOO! Boo bit Sarevoks foot with a lot of army. Sarevok then fell he was falling he would be dead when he hit the floor. Sarevok was falling and he landed on ME!!!!! All that heavy armor and I was crushed like a Kobold just got stepped on by a Ogre called Shrek! I reloaded and did the same tactic over and over. Finnaly one of the Gnolls killed SaREVOK! DO U THINK WHAT I DID WAS CHEATING!

Hello,
ha! I did the same. I tried to go toe-to-toe with S. & Co., but people kept dying. I was frustrated - all of my other battles had consisted of taking the foes on headfirst and overpwering them. I was having problems, here, so, new strategy. I formed a battle line just inside the temple. My hasted PC with the boots of speed ran up and fired a shot just when the foe cam into view, and then ran back into formation. What happend next? This is where I really mean "ha!". The mage dimension doored to a spot just in front of my party. He was shredded in seconds for acting like a complete and utter fool. This guy had caused so much trouble before, situated behind the fighters, yet here he literally charges my group, alone. My PC repeated his earlier manuever, and the S. and the ogre decide to move forward. I then cast every summoning spell and used 2 or three summoning wands in front of my party. My party used ranged weapons while more and more lower level monsters surrounded the two. Slowly, quite slowly, they were chipped away until S. finally died. Not a very heroic method at all, but really effective. I switched to taking NO injuries or death. I just caste all of the party augmentation spells, baited the foes unleashed every summoning spell that I could, helped with missle fire, and enjoyed the glory. - Twilight

It's not called cheating, just called cheesing. Not judging you, I've done cheesing tactics myself..

a semi popular cheese tactic for this game is making lots of skeletons (immune to poison) then sending them into battle at tanks, where someone stays back and uses a spell/wand of cloudkill and taking out big and hard groups. also hold person/monster works and while they r held gasses em to death!!!
