Items items every where but no more room to carry. This is a list of some of my favorite stash points in IWD.
Whitcomb's Inn in Easthaven: There's two rooms with chests here. if you're item heavy this early in the game, you can stash items here while you investigate the lost caravan. this is for fanatics who want to sell every axe they find for a gold piece. Inn at Kuldahur: The ultimate chests of holding lie here. this is where i stockpile cool magic items, potions and gems. everything you could ever want to save, you can save here. Masoleum in Kresselac's tomb: It's in the first level on the left; a crypt relatively close to the entrance to this dungeon. it's good to stick items here before you go down the next level; then try to drop more stuff here when you come back out (you gotta come back again anyways) Chests in the entrance to Dragon's eye: there's so many items in this dungeon! everything you're not immediately using, you can dump in these chests at the entrance. then, as you trudge deeper, you can always return to dump stuff in these chests. The advantage? you don't need to return to kuldahur constantly. instead, you can stockpile here and then take choice items to town for sale and make fewer trips back and forth. The first jar to the south of the entrance to the first level of the Severed Hand (also by the stairway to the 2nd level): For the same reasons as the Dragon's eye chests. There is also a nice table on the 4th level of this board just north of Lethias. you can leave stuff here on the safe level while you branch out and explore each tower. The slave table in Wyrm's tooth and the crypt in joril's cave: by this point, you'll have a lot of items from upper dorn and the tombs. lots of gems and +1 weapons and armor here as well as a ton of wolf pelts. i like to sock them in Joril's cave or the slave's little library and come back later when i can carry it all. it's a good location cuz it's real close to the level exit to the map, and the entrance to chapter 6. Marketh's chambers, Flotsum's room: just in the level there is a cabinet in the room to the southwest. I like to leave my Badges here because it's only 2 areas away from where they unlock the special door. I also leave other cool items as well because this is an easy place to return to and resupply for the other mini-bosses in the area. that's about it. i'm actually a little cheesed that there is no container in the secret village of the gnomes. i mean, they have a safe place to rest, how come no item containers? waaaah. anyways, i hope this helps. |

After you get the blacksmiths weapon back in Kuldahar i keep the key and use the chest as my own private stash spot, when i first started playing i didnt realise i could make my whole party to start (i thought you gained NPC's like Baldurs Gate...doh!)
so i have a 20th lvl fighter stuck in the mage area with the blind gnomes lol anyhow i use the lock box at the smiths to store all the cool weapons i was gonna give to my NPC's,but NOTE this...dont lock the key in the box because try as you will you wont get in again lol ![]() [This message has been edited by NIcademis (edited 07-14-2001).] [This message has been edited by NIcademis (edited 07-14-2001).] |

heh, yeah. i was going to mention Conlan's chest, but i put a bunch of weapons in there once and left town; when i came back the chest was locked! that sneaky Conlan was trying to pull a fast one on me. Thank goodness my Bard was able to Knock it open. (i dunno where i put that key!)
![]() thanks to smart stashing and some ironman endurance fighting in the fatigued state; i've managed to get to Lower Dorn and into Marketh's chambers in only 48 days! and this is in fury mode! or course, my 4 player party is pretty powerfull, though the fury encounters are not quite hard enough. However I did notice that the Orog cave with the umberhulk wizard is now noticeably more populated |

What? someone actually goes to that temple? I stepped in there for the first time after Dragon's eye just to see if the preistess found her way back safely.
