I've got BG, but i didn't get a version that has TotSC with it. Is there any way to obtain a copy without buying the whole game over again?

yes you should be able to find Tales of the Sword Coast, the expansion pack on its own. If you can't find it in stores then im sure there are many listings on ebay.
