I'm buying BG1, after completed BG2 over and over.
So now I wonder: Shall I buy only BG, or Tales of the Sword Coast too? I know that TotSC is only an add-on, but will the game be affected if I install both at the same time? Thanks. see ya! |

It's an add-in actually, and of course the game will be affected if you install it. Apart from adding some areas, monsters and new items, it fixes some bugs and makes some small engine changes, like putting a blue background behind unidentified magical stuff. In BG1 without TotSC you couldn't distinguish between normal stuff and unidentified magical stuff very easy.
Just install it right away - it only makes things better. |

I agree, TOTSC is just too good to leave out. And Durlag's Tower presents the hardest challenge in the game I believe, so you wouldnt want to miss that.
