Light Bulb

I know there are a ton of posts on this guy, but I couldn't seem to find the information I was looking for. Anyway, after four or five tries, I finally managed to destroy the sucker, but I did use cheese. I ended up leaving the room and sleeping after the demogorgon summoned the marileths (spell?). Yes, amaturish, but I don't know how many times I tried to toast the guy and fight them at the same time.

Anyway, here's my question: I went the cheese route because I had trouble with the marileths and demon together. I'd kill the summons, but once I started hacking away at the demon, he'd summon about 6 glabereaus (spell) and that would be the end of me. I'd summon a couple more MS and a deva, but nothing. What do you do then? I can deal with the first set of summons, but not the second. Any suggestions? Oh, and every time I'd get the demogorgon down to "Near Death," he'd heal again and I'd be back where I started. And before anyone asks, I don't have improved demogorgon.

The standard tactic is to concentrate on Demogorgan first, and ignore his summons, as he is the bigger threat. Once he goes down, it is only a matter of cleaning up.

Marileths and Glabrezu are kinda hard minions to ignore if you ask me. Try telling the mage to ignore the 6-armed sword wielding Marileth at his back and keep casting spells? Last time I tried telling that to Nalia she threatened to feed me to the needy.

I must be going mad, because I could have *SWORN* I posted something similar to what Dundee said... or did I delete it at the last minute?

I seem to remember that Mordy's are a good summon against the Mariliths because of their immunity to physical damage. I just summoned a few, sent them to attack the Mariliths, then concentrated all my other firepower on the big guy.
