I just found out a good time when you can get Elminister in your party. After your 'run in' with Abazigal, you can use Control-Q on Elminister before he teleports away. He has 12 spells memorized in each lvl (12 1st lvl spells, 12 2nd lvls spells) all the way till 12 9th lvl spells in his mage book. He also has 12 spells in each lvl memorized in the pries spells. He also has a ring of regeneration where the boots should go, but you probably shouldn't remove it since it might cause the game to crash (like removing Drizzt's scimitars from the helmet slot). He's got just about every mage spell, but his portrait does have a question mark. I'm pretty sure you can give him a portrait using ShadowKeeper though. Even though I havn't used him and I won't use him, it looks like HE ROCKS!!!
Edit: Oh yeah, he's got so many abilities that it's not even funny ![]() [ 06-26-2003, 12:46 PM: Message edited by: Lord ]

Can you do that in the normal ToB or do you need some kind of mod??
Could be interesting just to check him. |

I did it in the normal ToB, no mods, no patches. He doesn't have a portrait, although you could use SK or import a picture for him, I'm sure you could find 1 online. After he speaks to you when you defeat Abazigal, you casts a teleport spell, which is when I paused it and used Control-Q on him.
Any one have any idea what his CLUA code is? I'd like to see if using the CLUA will bring up the same Elminister (same stats, spells, etc). [ 06-27-2003, 01:57 PM: Message edited by: Lord ]

Here are the 4 CLUAs for Elminster and how they are different:
AMELM01- this one was a level 29 cleric and 18 mage with 12 spells memorized in each level in Pries and Mage spells. He's got great abilities, 100 HP, and -6 AC. He has no portrait. He doesn't speak. ELMIND- This guy sucks. He can't move, can't attack, no abilities, no spells, and can't gain XP. He's got 96 HP with -13 AC, but you can't access his inventory. He doesn't speak MERLIN- This guy is very good. He's a lvl 18 mage and lvl 18 cleric. He's got Warrior Abilities (like crtical strike), thief abilities (like use any item and scribe scrolls), cleric abilities, druid abilities, mage abilities (the spells), and probably more as I havn't checked them all out. He's got 66 HP, he has a portrait (it looks like the guy that travelled with Xzar in BG1 and who you could find in BG2 as well in the Docks District I believe). He starts with 0 XP and has 12 spells memorized in each all levels in pries and mage spell books. You can access his inventory, and unlike the other Elminsters, he has a paper doll! The only bad thing that I found about this guy is that he doesn't look like Elminster. He doesn't have the red robe or the red hat, and he's got an orange beard. Despite the way he looks, he's pretty strong and has -3 AC (he has no sounds). SAHIMPO3- This guy can't gain any XP, has no spells, and has no abilities. However, he's got -24 AC, no portrait and no paper doll in the inventory. He has no items in the inventory like the other ones do, but this guy has 1800 HP!!!!! He is also different because he's lawful evil, while the others were chaotic good. He's also got a voice, but it's the same sound: "I can offer some guidance, but I will not interfere with your destiny." That's it, it's up to you to decide which one is best ![]()

Yep. 5 different Drizzt Do'Urdens:
C6DRIZZ C6DRIZZ2 C6DRIZZ3 DRIZZT SAHIMP07 I don't use Drizzt since I only use my own characters, but I tested him out and Drizzt can't gain XP, C6DRIZZ2 and C6DRIZZ3 are the same except C6DRIZZ2 has a wooden stake in his inventory while the 3rd one doesn't. I don't remember C6DRIZZ, and SAHIMP07 couldn't gain XP either IIRC. I think C6DRIZZ2 would probably be the best choice. Edit: Drizzt can weild both scimitars and a shield at once, and he gets the bonuses from all of them! [ 06-30-2003, 01:50 AM: Message edited by: Lord ]
