I Severely doubt that "2 hits and their dead!" is the case.
The standard fire giant has 157 HP. Since they are beserkers, you can add 15 to this i.e. 172 HP. Name an attack that delivers over 86HP of damage!!! (unless your talking about a critical melee attack from a kensai or a powerful mage spell!! Be more specific!) For goodness sake, up the difficulty from novice. No wonder they fall easy!! |

You know, the lowest level I have ever played was Normal. Monsters only deal 50% damage at Novice, 75% at Normal. That is the only difference between Novice and Normal. Core is the middle and follows all the game rules concerning Hp gains and scroll memorisation, at Hard, monsters deal 150% damage, and at Insane, 200% damage. This is the only difference between Core, Hard and Insane. |

To be honest, they are pathetically easy, I never play on anything lower than insane, and Sarevok can take 2 giants by himself with greater whirlwind at his side. He is also lvl 22, dunno if thats high or not to be able to take fire giants simply. He swings so fast and hardly ever misses so that the giant cant even get a hit in.

Novice, huh
IIRC that means only a quarter of the damage you receive on Insane. trust me, it's sometimes hard to believe, how fast you loose HP, once you crank that difficulty bar up a bit. it seems everything is dealing out damage by the 50's ... |

What class are you?
What lvl are you? What equiment do you use? If your a Kensai Lvl 23 with The Vorpal sword (witch most people are) then of course there going to die easy. But I dont think they should have tuffened them up some.
