Concerning Bala's axe: I have the UB mod installed, which replaces many of these items back to BG2. I recently created a FMT to take advantage of some of the wonderful axes in the game, since I never bother with anything other than scimitars or katanas. Anyway, in Infinity Explorer, Bala's axe is clearly an unenchanted weapon, but I'm having a dreadful hard time hitting Gaius in the sewers when he uses PFMW. The whole point of this char was to use Bala's wonderful axe to disable spellcasters who thought they were safe while using PFMW.
The axe also clearly states in the title it grants the user to dispel magic once per day. I don't think that is true. I'd like to remake bala's axe into an actual unenchanted axe that either dispels magic like the staff of the magi or casts dispel once per day. Are there any good modding tools I could use to do this? |

I know IEEP works just fine for me, I've made some pretty neat stuff with it. I hear DLTCEP (or whatever the acronym is) is better, but I've never tried it.

Okay, I trudged through my way and reset all the abilites to reflect what I wanted: 25% chance to dispel from the Staff of the Magi, regular bala abilities improved to -4 save (if bala hated mages that much, -2 is just not enough), insta-cast dispel from carsomyr + tweaking 1/day.
The problem is, I just can't seem to get it to count as a non-magic weapon! I did some rather elementary tests and summoned a lich. The axe (no enchantment) hit the lich easily, but not while PMW was on. I summoned a fire elemental, as they are immune to +1 weapons I believe, and that test proved correct, I failed to hit him. But then I attacked a Pro Normal weap, and he was hit, but took no damage. This is getting to be really crazy. Edit, I simply deflagged the "magic" part of it in the attributes section and now it works. PMW is just crazy strong; Why even bother with mantle/imp mantle/absimmunity?
