new game - solo F/M/T

sorry - i'm bored at work again and wanting to be playing BG so now i'm boring you with my latest new game

i've left my party poised to take on mae'var and started another game with a solo F/M/T - i've got tactics installed and just installed the ease of use XP cap remover and the 'shorter cutscenes' component that i've liked already [img]smile.gif[/img]

i'm still on the first level of the dungeon having done all but illyich and the otyugh and about to go upstairs to clear my escape route - i haven't played a thief for a while and i'd forgotten how good backstabs are and how cool the elf female thief avatar is wearing leather (i suppose i'll have to change it if she gets as far as the robe of vecna)

what are you folks playing at the moment?

I just installed Redemption and Accension, and found my Final Save has just gone, I must have deleted it. So I'm playing through again with the usual elven ranger, just so I can see what changes with the other numerous mods I've installed [img]smile.gif[/img]

I currently don't have BG2 installed on my computer. But I already have plans for my future gaming when I install (if I install it again). I will use Tactics, Ascension, Rouge Rebalancing, etc...
And I will probabaly made a Kensai->Mage becuase I have never played it before.

I think I'm gonna start soloing with each character, to see how the various classes stack up against each other.

Im playing a Chaotic Neutral Mage/Thief, ive got Sola mod, ease of use and Tactics installed.

I'm playing TDD, only my second time through the game. First time was just SOA with Baldurdash, now I have TOB installed and TDD. My main character is a Marksman. Nice attack rate with Grandmastery in Long Bow. Nice arrow creation!

I want to say that on higher resolutions, this game still looks pretty good. I turned on the 3d effect and what a difference!

I'm playing an Evil party with Edwin, Korgan, Viconia and my Swashbuckler.They are preparing to run the second part of the Spellhold Maze.
Having lots of fun, my Swashbuckler is doing very well with CF, Korgan is the great meat-shield he was supposed to be, Viconia a great Cleric, and Edwin, well... don't even need to be mentioned...

I got two party's on the go, installed mod's well only tutu but it's enough...

Avenger party, just got to the bandit camp, but not started to stir trouble yet, wanna explore some more before I kick that fight off, maybe let immy put some trap's down.

Then the Bard party, just heading into the Nashkill(sp?) mines, not been paying them much attention because I normaly favor bard's so no new challenges.

I'm playing a male, and changedd that avatar (via SK) to thief, since it's cool.

Why did you mention in the first post that the Robe of Vecna might cause problems? I plan on using it when I get that far in the game.

BTW, I haven't started putting points into stealthy skills yet. I'm concentrating on traps and locks now, and startign to boost pick pocket and set traps. am I making a mistake?

I also need to decide which weapons to work towards. Right now I'm hoping for the Celestial Fury and Crom Faery, with Flail of ages for Clay Golems and stoneskinned baddies early on.

Set traps is practically pointless without a bounty hunter. Pick pocket can net you some cool stuff though.

I wonder if you'll get enough proficieny points to put them in all the slots you're gonna need.
