Here's an idea - how do we play ?
We play, we lose (we get killed, imprisoned, dominated, whatever ...) and then we learn from it. (hopefully )

And the next time we play we change our tactics and sometimes it works and we learn how to win a certain scenario.

IMAGINE - that the computer could do that!

The computer would learn from our tactics - maybe someone plays more hack&slash, someone likes thieves and someone likes more mage heavy game. And the computer (enemies) would react and defend against our "most used" tactic.
And then we would have to adapt again and so would computer. That would make things much more interesting.

Any ideas how the enemies could learn from our play ?

Well a experienced modder(Weimer,Six...etc) could try to do it with Scripts but i do not know if that is possible. I personally like bombarding my enmies into oblivion with Magic-Sorcerer. On the second place the combo of brain, skill and melee,healing... It would be pretty cool. Even if you have Tactics,Ascension playing on Insane some enemies become a walk in a park after a while...(IMHO)

I remember that they were doing that exact thing on a non-RPG (Virtua Fighter for PC) some years ago. Sadly it didn't work too well and the final boss would just stand there and do nothing if you didn't attack her. You could just push her out of the ring (cheesy I know).
It's a marvelous idea however and I think that it is implemented in some action games nowadays, so RPGs will probably follow.
