I went through part of the Unseeing Eye quest, and so I get to the part where the big hoard of Beholders and Gauths are, use Wand of Cloud Kill, and killed the Gauths. But then I summoned a Fire Elemental to distract the Beholders so I could use the wand again, but here's the thing. Against three Beholders, the Fire Elemental was able to kill two, or all three, not sure but do Elementals have an unnaturally high MR to fight off that many Beholders?

No. Vanilla Beholders will completely ignore summons.

No they don't either, they killed my nymphs and lesser fire elemental before, but their rays didn't effect a regular FE as much.

Off-topic but here's a spoiler of how to beat those beholders with a little more ease:

Save the Unseeing Eye quest until after you finish getting through the Underdark. Then take the Cloak of Mirroring that you should have gotten in Sanhuagin City, and send in your tank with that equipped and the spells will just reflect back to the Beholders and they'll kill themselves . Quite handy really...

Not if you have ToB installed, then the Cloak just cancels out the spells without reflecting them.

My apologies, I do not have ToB, so I did not know. Still, a great way to get rid of 'em if you don't have ToB.

No problem buddy, good thing is though if you have a high MR with that cloak on, you become to most any Beholder attack (besides Imprisonment).

Well only K. has imprisonment on range.

Dadams1 - maybe you were thinking about the Shield of Balduran. It reflects beholder rays right back at 'em.
