Pretty late in the Original 6-disk game Baldur's Gate, you come across an Assasin who says his friend has poisened your whole party and if you don't do his quest, you'll all be dead in 7 days. There's an option to disbelieve him. Was he telling the truth?

If you don't finish the quest, you die in 7 days.
