Ok, so suppose someone decides to turn the BG series into a movie, who would play the NPCs?

Here is my list:-

Anomen - Tim Curry (just to make him totally rediculous)
Minsc - Vin Deisel (just looks right)
Edwin - Alan Rickman (the best "funny" bad guy actor around)
Keldorn - Sean Connery (for that distinguished look)
Korgan - Brian Blessed (Round, Noisy and Hairy)
Yoshimo - Toshiro Mifune (the best Japanese actor ever)
Cernd - Kevin Costner (the sort of pretentious character he'd play)
Valygar - Ice T (cool, quiet, a bit bad)
Jan - Robin Williams (for the silliness aspect)
Haer Dalis - Ralph Fiennes (sullen intellectual type)
Sarevok - Christopher Walken (think of his character in "Sleepy Hollow")
Khalid - Hugh Grant (stuttering, mumbling fool)
Ajantis - Rutger Hauer (always appears in these sort of movies)
Coran - Willem Defoe (looks almost as zany as Coran's portrait)
Kivan - Clint Eastwood (sixties spaghetti westerns. Mysterious silent type)
Xzar - Jim Carrey ('cos he's a loony!)
Montaron - Joe Pesci (psychopath)
Eldoth - Matt Damon (you can't have one without the other so...)
Xan - Ben Affleck (see Matt Damon)
Tiax - Danny De'vito (might just be able to do the "mad" part convincingly)
Yeslick - Ron Jeremy (!)
Kagain - Tom Cruise (He' the correct height)
Garrick - Eric Idle (for the Sir Robin references)
Quayle - Mickey Rooney (short, old, (probably dead in fact))
Imoen - Christina Ricci (very little sister"ish")
Jaheira - Goldie Hawn (for the "Mumsie" aspect)
Aerie - Sarah Michelle Gellar (just as irritating as Aerie)
Nalia - Helen Baxendale (stuffy upper-class)
Viconia - Natasha Henstridge (painted blue, not a bad look-alike)
Mazzy - Kelly Osbourne (Short, funny hair)
Branwen - Kate Winslet (Err, Blonde?)
Dynaheir - Byonce Knowles (kick-ass attitude)
Shar teel - Brigitte Neilsen (err, she's big?)
Safana - Jennifer Lopez (curves and sultry looks)
Skie - Winona Ryder ('cos she's a Kleptomaniac)
Alora - Mena Suvari (short, bubbly)
Faldorn - Angelica Huston (creepy dark haired woman)

Protagonist Male - Half-Orc Barbarian - Ron Pearlman
Protagonist Female - Amazonian Ranger/Fighter - Salma Hayek

I'd have to differ on some suggestions.

Jaheira - Nastassja Kinski (looks kind of Elven, and looks about the right age)
Minsc - Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) (Also looks right but better acting range than Vin Diesel)
Aerie - Mena Suvari (also looks kind of elven)
Haer'Dalis - Me!

LOL! Excellent list! I can't relate to the BGI characters since I never played but the rest are great. You must have put some serious thought into it. The only one I would ammend is having Richard Gear play Cernd.

Hehehe sometimes people just have to much time on there hands and come up with great stuff like this.... nice dude!

real nice list, they should really consider making a movie about the BG story (because it's GREAT!)... not a cinema movie because there is simple not that many people that are intresseted in that kind of movie IMHO.

but it will probaly sell real good because BG has many fans (I'm one of them )

I love the idea of Christopher Walken, but personally I'd cast him as the main villain, Jon Irenicus, rather than Sarevok. I couldn't imagine a better actor to play Irenicus.

Also: Ann-Margret in a guest cameo spot as Elliseme (still gorgeous after all these years, but mature and stately as well).

It had been bandied about in another thread that Drew Barrymore would be just about perfect to play Nalia, as they look so much alike.

Good choices!

Lol, I always love these Movie threads

These are all great choices, but I'd probably cut out Vin Deisel as Minsc...

Excellent cast lists by all. The only suggestions I would make would be David Warner as Irenicus (It sounds like his voice in the game.) Vin Diesel as Sarevok and Elizabeth Hurley as Viconia.

Alan Rickman as Jon Irenicus. Something I dreamed up watching deadringers a few months ago
