Where do you get a Scroll of Spell Trigger in SoA??

Sorry to bring this thread up from the 2nd page, but I've read a few times about this "Guy in Baron Ployer's House". I have never seen him, so I have a few questions:

-Is this guy from ToB? (I only have SoA and now TDD)

-Do I need to clear the "Jaheira Curse" quest for this guy to show up?

-Is there a specific time frame for this guy to appear?

I have never seen a merchant of any kind in Ployer's house. If you go there before Jaheira's quest is activated, the place is deserted. If you go there afterward, everyone there is hostile to you.

There is a chance that IF you chose to buy the Wizards off, one of them might stick around and sell you stuff, but I seriously doubt it.

I have only found Spell Trigger as a random drop--I found it just today, as a matter of fact, looted from a Skeleton Warrior. Whack a few high-level enemies, and you're more likely to get high-level spells. I actually once found a scroll of Time Stop as random loot, and that was in SoA, too.

It's pretty much what I've thought - no merchant there.

I do hate the "random scrolls" thing - the best ones only show up when you don't need 'em. In one game I found a Project Image and a True Sight in the very first dungeon; a Trigger in the Graveyard, a Sequencer in the Sewers, and a Mordenkainen's Sword in the Sahuagins of the Planar Sphere. But I was trying to solo a Ranger/Cleric, so the spells were useless... what a waste.

Try killing the wizards, and looting their bodies.
