Is there any point in putting more than 100 points into any single ability? I mean if my thief has 100 points in lockpicking, he can pick open ANY pickable lock, can he not? Same for trap making, pickpocketing, etc?
Or are you actually MORE skilled with 150 points in an ability than you were with 100? Because I could really use a 100% success rate with pickpocketing, for example... |

The only skill where a 100 is enough is trap setting.
For pickpocketing and sense illusions=250 For the rest=150 should be enough. And yes it makes a difference.

The pickpocketing is never 100% safe, even with 250 for pickpocketing. It depends on your victim what is enough for pickpocketing.
As far as Detect Traps is concerned, 100 seems to be enough, even if you are wearing armor. The rest has been said by StigTC.

Forgot to mention that if your pickpocketing skill goes above 250 in some way, it will have a negative effect.

i suggest putting A LOT on pickpocketing. i have 150 on right now, but i plan to put on more. u need a reason why? because when u pickpocket, u can get good items, and make a fortune!!! so yes, that's my advice.

If you backstab with Celestial Fury you will stun every time (at least you will on the easiest difficulty).
Other than that I dont know what to tell you.

Are you sure about this, StigTC? From my experience with the Infinity Engine, i hardly believe that's true... ![]() [ 12-17-2002, 02:29 PM: Message edited by: Alson ] |

Well you do have to hit with the back stab and it might not be every time, but I stun way above those 10-15% of my enemies. It is 10% isn't it? Anyway above the percentage that the weapondiscription says.

The stun effect is not based on percentage( not directly anyway), and is not affected by the game's difficulty.
The target has to save versus spell to avoid the stun effect. For example, if the target has a save versus spell of 10, you have a 50% chance of stunning the target. |
